The proposed regulation would amend the Capital Rule to reflect the recent update to the definition of HVCRE exposure adopted by the FBRAs. The proposed rule would ensure that our Capital Rule remains comparable with the capital rules of the FBRAs and that our Capital Rule also recognizes the increased risk posed by HVCRE exposures.

Good afternoon,

Please see the attached Comment Letter from Farm Credit Mid-America, ACA in response to the Proposed Rule on Risk Weighting of High Volatility Commercial Real Estate Exposures.  Farm Credit Mid-America understands that the Comment Period was scheduled to close on January 24 but is submitting this letter in the event it may be considered by the Farm Credit Administration.
