FCA Examination Manual

The FCA Examination Manual contains procedures and guidance for examining System institutions. FCA examiners use the manual to help ensure the quality and consistency of their examinations, and System institutions use it to better understand the criteria by which they are being examined.

While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the manual, it should not be relied upon as a legal reference. It does not bind FCA and does not create any rights, benefits, or defenses, substantive or procedural, that are enforceable by any party in any manner.

The manual is updated regularly to reflect changes in laws, regulations, or other examination criteria, and to address emerging risks affecting the System and changes to its products and services.
