Margin and Capital Requirements for Covered Swap Entities Interim Final Rule (Brexit Amendments)
Type: Regulation
Federal Register Document Type: Interim
Description:
Amend the Margin and Capital Requirements for Covered Swap Entities Regulations (Margin Regulations) through an interim final rule. The rule will address the scenario whereby numerous United Kingdom swap dealers will take steps to transfer their existing swap portfolios that face counterparties located in the European Union (EU) over to affiliated swap dealers established at locations within the EU. Those swaps would continue to be grandfathered from the margin regulations as they are applied to the EU swap dealers receiving the transferred swap portfolios.
